Jeannie Nguyen was born in Huntington Beach, raised in Orange County and Riverside, and has lived in Los Angeles for the past twelve years—making her a true SoCal girl.
From a young age, she loved watching martial arts, but never participated in any sports growing up. At 22, feeling depressed and unfulfilled with her 9-5 job, she discovered Muay Thai, which profoundly changed her life for the better. Jeannie treasures the Muay Thai community for its ability to challenge and uplift, offering experiences she never thought possible.
Through Muay Thai, she found her best self, along with amazing friends, mentors, and teammates. She’s proud of every fight, both won and lost, and the mental and physical hurdles she has overcome.
Jeannie takes pride in creating safe spaces, especially for women and kids, to find confidence in training. Outside of martial arts, she considers herself a jack of all trades, master of none. She loves food and cooking, photography, creating art, books, coffee, and seeing the world.
Coaching at Lineage Muay Thai, she finds joy in being part of others' transformative journeys, which she says is one of the most fulfilling things she's done.
